Groovy Toon record counter.I used to run a mobile disco with my old, old friend Nathan.   In 1992, I opened a Record and Coffee shop in Bury St. Edmunds.

This shop stocked mostly house and the older style of Happy Hardcore.  The shop did OK, but after 18 months it was time to move on.  I carried on DJ'ing for about two years afterwards, playing clubs and parties, but all good things must come to an end, so I knocked it on the head.

This picture was taken in 1993 for an old magazine called "Blaze".  We were trying to make it look as though we were an "underground" record shop in London.  This effect was achieved by the photographer standing on a stool to take the picture :)

In fact it was a gourgeous 16th century wooden framed building, and there was loads of room to walk between the tables.

The Guy on the left is Ian Stratton.  He was a pretty big name on the Rave circuit. He played many of the old school parties back in 1989 and moved into clubs in the 1990's.  He came to work for me in April 1992 and did a lot of the buying.
